self portrait

Self portrait one:

The idea of this portrait is me trying to convey “who I think I am”. People say I’m a bit out there with wild actions and ideas and at the same time make people laugh or be equally shocked and offended. I chose to have a smile in this because people generally consider me to be a very happy person and I also believe this. I chose to have my other half of my body in the shadow because people don’t know a lot about me and there is so much more to me then there appears. I was also trying to convey the idea that I consider everyone the same and we are all equal underneath it all and nothing can change it, at the end of the day we are all naked. The inspiration came from a girl in a magazine lying on a sheep skin rug posing naked. Originally I thought a sheep skin rug would be a good idea but I had a hard time locating one so instead I stuck with the naked idea with a seamless background.

Self portrait two:

The idea of “who I want to be” is me trying to portray the idea of someone smart, punctual, with a formal sort of look. I’m trying to go for this aspect because it’s something I have never been and it’s something I want to be. I’m also purposefully going for a cheesy look.
